now romney is pulling at best in the mid-20's. his own campaign has said they need to reach 30% in order to be competitive in the states or the latino vote will be critical. what the republican party has done is lurch to the right instead of george w. bush, john mccain. let's reach out and let's make immigration reform something we are for. he has promised a veto. he is for radical policy description, and the idea of making life so miserable that immigrants are purged from the country. this lurch to the right is hurting badly. their strategy means the southwest is out of reach because of this. they pulled out of new mexico. they have a shot in colorado and nevada. essentially, the hispanic strategy has been let's talk about the economy. the cuban americans are in florida and hope they can peel off enough of them. maybe that will be the trick. the fastest-growing group are the non-portrait in immigrants for whom this is a defining issue. i suspect he is glad to have a hard time winning florida in part because of the latino electora
